House Rep Gaetz Exposes FEMA's Efforts to Assist Illegal Aliens Over American Citizens
Republican House Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida exposed FEMA's misappropriation of funds to prioritize assisting illegal aliens over American citizens facing dire emergencies due to Hurricane Helene.
Amidst the devastation wreaked upon Americans in the Southeastern United States in the wake of Hurricane Helene, Americans are learning they’re government’s federal emergency assistance is nowhere to be found and broke to boot. This breakdown will explain why and how there are no funds for American citizens in desperate need of aid and other problems were facing related to this as a nation.
Benny Johnson reported, "🚨BREAKING: FEMA [Federal Emergency Management Agency] whistleblowers allege agency misappropriated funds amid Hurricane Helene disaster, withheld pre-disaster aid, and left first responders and service members waiting in hotels without deployment orders."
In the attached letter from House Rep Matt Gaetz of Florida to Secretary Mayorkas, Gaetz states that they announced FEMA "does not have funds to make it through the hurricane season" to help Americans facing destruction after FEMA has allocated hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars to pay for illegal aliens who are coming into the country illegally through the open southern border that Vice President Kamala Harris has been both in charge of fixing and neglecting for the past 4 years.
It shockingly appears to be something like 1.4 BILLION dollars that's been used for funding illegal immigrants over the American citizenry since 2022. According to the NY Post, "the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) allocated $640.9 million this year in FEMA-administered funds to aid state and local governments coping with the influx of asylum seekers — though Mayorkas’ office fired back late Thursday, insisting that those funds couldn’t be used for hurricane relief because Congress authorized them specifically for the migrant crisis."
Gaetz says he has spoken to whistleblowers at the local, state, and federal levels who all discuss the same critical mismanagement of funds, as they waste taxpayer dollars and squander misappropriated funds, while leaving thousands of boots on the ground with no deployment orders to help people as they sit idly waiting for direction and assistance from FEMA. He says these people are on the clock with nothing to do as they await orders; meaning more money going out with nothing to show for it!
Gaetz appallingly and heartbreakingly explains, "the aftermath of Hurricane Helene is a major disaster, and your waste and unpreparednessare leaving Americans in distress—unable to access food, water, or medicine—and expecting help with none coming."
Stephen Miller accurately commented on the matter, "this scandal should force Kamala’s resignation. She turned FEMA into a housing and transit service for illegals, eviscerating its statutory mission — and now hundreds of Americans are dead.”
This is all happening as dangerous people on the terrorist watchlist pour into our country, with the Department of Homeland Security warning that the threat environment in the US will “remain high” in the coming year, with illegals with “terrorism ties” contributing to the elevated level. Through July of fiscal year 2024, allegedly, 422 individuals on the federal Terrorist Screening Data Set were encountered by authorities trying to enter the US through the northern or southern border. These are merely the known probable terrorists who've attempted to make their way into America, not the gotaways or the folks who made it in unnoticed.
“Over the next year, we expect some individuals with terrorism ties and some criminal actors will continue their efforts to exploit migration flows and the complex border security environment to enter the United States,” the department’s 2025 Homeland Threat Assessment warned, adding, "Individuals with potential terrorism connections continue to attempt to enter the Homeland at both the US-Mexico and US-Canada borders and also through the immigration system."
This is on top of police threatening to arrest citizens for saving folks if they continue to make any attempts to save folks. "Jordan Seidhom, a South Carolina pilot, told Queen City News that he successfully brought supplies to people in need and was able to use his helicopter to rescue people who had been stranded due to flooding. He was then inundated with requests for help, and planned another day of airlifting people to safety
.
Even though he had spoken to authorities at Charlotte-Douglas Airport and local authorities, on his second day of providing assistance, things changed. Seidhom and his son, who is also his copilot, were rescuing a couple from a precarious situation. Seidhom decided to rescue one person at a time, so he took the wife to safety and left his son with her husband. When he arrived with the wife at a parking lot near Lake Lure Flowering Bridge, he saw some first responders.
Seidhom told the official that he was going to get his son and the other victim and then would leave the area to avoid any further issues, but the official, according to Seidhom, told him to leave them.
“I’m going back and getting my copilot,” Seidhom said he told the official. “He said, ‘If you turn around and go back up the mountain, you’re going to be arrested.’ I said, ‘Well, sir, I’m going back to get my copilot, I don’t know what to tell you.'”
